In the context of the project actions D.1 “Public awareness and dissemination of results” and D.2 “LIFE SEPOSSO Networking” LIFESEPOSSO participated on 14 October 2021 in the event entitled ‘Sustainable development of SMEs and PA: the opportunities of the Next Gen EU and smart digitalisation‘, held online, in live streaming, at 17:00.
The event was part of the agenda of the Sustainable Development Festival (28 September – 14 October), the largest Italian civil society event on sustainability issues, promoted by ASVIS – Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development.
Conceived to create an opportunity for reflection and in-depth analysis, and to encourage discussion between various players from the institutional, academic, business and production worlds, the event aimed to raise awareness among all parties involved of the need to respect the commitments made at the UN with the 2030 Agenda and to make them commit to a recovery based on economic, social and environmental sustainability.
The UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Next Generation EU and the National Recovery and Resilience Plan identify innovation in production processes as a necessary element of the transition to a sustainable economy and provide specific support measures for SMEs for digital transformation.
How can emerging technological trends contribute to the achievement of sustainability goals concerning productivity, resilience and retraining of businesses and public administrations?
All major observers agree: one of the most disruptive technological trends of the next decade is democratisation: managing and analysing information, supporting production processes and business governance are no longer the exclusive domain of the few who can afford complex and expensive skills and technologies.
From now on, the digitisation of processes for the benefit of productivity and professional retraining is in the hands of those who do business and those who work, through new tools designed specifically for them.
In addition to the representatives of the companies organising the panel, the following speakers took the floor:
– Carlo Corazza, Head of the European Parliament in Italy, with the speech “Introduction to the Next Gen EU and European Strategic Guidelines with focus on digitisation and competitiveness of SMEs and PA”.
– Stefano Conconi, Co-Founder of Vesenda & eLegere.com, and partner of the LIFE SEPOSSO project, with the speech “Introduction to SOP Management and technologies enabling sustainable digital transformation, democratisation, productivity, resilience and retraining
of enterprises and PA. SOP Management, Value on information assets, BIG-Data, eLegere Low-Code solution, Targets/Areas of use”.
– Barbara La Porta, Researcher Biologist at ISPRA – Istituto Superiore per la Protezione e la Ricerca Ambientale and Scientific Co-coordinator of the LIFE SEPOSSO project, with a speech on “Digitalization at the service of competitiveness, transparency of PA and enterprises and awareness in citizens.
awareness in citizens. Focus on sustainability in the broadest sense of the term”.
The round table was moderated by Andrea Salvati, Vice President in charge of development of Federazione Digitale Italiana.
