On Thursday 6 th of May, Life SEPOSSO participated to the 3rd Natura 2000 seminar for the Mediterranean biogeographic region of the Knowledge Market programme. The participation is foreseen by Actions B.4 “Transferability and replicability of SEPOSSO results and solutions” and D.2 “Networking”.
As part of the Natura 2000 Biogeographical Process, these Seminars are regarded as important milestones in a continuing process of networking, information sharing and knowledge building. Knowledge gained at these events contribute to ensuring progress towards key conservation targets and directly benefit stakeholders across the Mediterranean biogeographical region.

The biogeographical seminar for the Mediterranean Region was hosted by the Italian Regione Calabria & Sila National Park and was attended in a webinar format.
LIFE SEPOSSO presented a contribute entitled: Good governance and best practices for an effective and sustainable restoration of Posidonia oceanica meadows: a lesson from the project – Barbara La Porta and Tiziano Bacci, ISPRA “Istituto Superiore per la Protezione e la Ricerca Ambientale”
The organizers reported that the number of participants in this Knowledge Market was outstanding. The meeting was an opportunity to have a glimpse of what is being done in the Mediterranean Region and to establish contacts with conservationist that work in this region to share and develop common approaches to conservation targets.
