In the framework of the activities foreseen for actions D.1 and D.2, LIFESEPOSSO on March 15, 2022 from 10:00 to 18:00 organized the final event of the project entitled “Posidonia… and not only”, held at the Auditorium della Tecnica – Via Umberto Tupini, 65 Rome and broadcasted in videoconference on the ZOOM and YouTube channels of ISPRA (in Italian) and LifeSEPOSSO (in English).
In order to transfer the results of LIFE SEPOSSO and replicate the project’s solutions at national and European level, a conference talk show was organised to talk about marine governance, Posidonia oceanica meadows to be protected and recovered, anthropogenic impacts on these protected habitats, best practices to be replicated in the Mediterranean, transparency and participation to protect our marine Natural Capital. Marine forests, blue carbon and Citizen science were also discussed, thanks to the contributions of the project partners, European and national institutional authorities, the main Stakeholders involved in the project, and the research projects with which Life SEPOSSO has carried out extensive and heterogeneous networking activities.
The Auditorium Congress Hall, thanks to the wide spaces available, made it possible to hold the event in presence, guaranteeing the respect of the anti-covid19 rules.

In the Auditorium’s Foyer, exhibition spaces were set up for participants to use for their networking activities and to distribute their dissemination materials.

Finally, on the balcony of the Foyer, educational workshops for schools were set up by the Life SEPOSSO, INDICIT, BARGAIN and Life ASAP projects, where about 60 children from 4 schools were hosted in various play and educational activities.
