Also this year LIFE SEPOSSO collaborated to the series of events held for the “European Night of the Researchers 2021” realized thanks to ISPRA’s ScienceTogether – NET project, within the NET for Schools – Researchers in Schools activities. The events, which took place exclusively online, were carried out thanks to the support of ISPRA’s Environmental Education and Training Service.
The events were as follows
- Wednesday 13 October: the Primary School “I.C.Sanremo Calvino-Centro Levante” in Sanremo (IM) participated, with 4 classes of 18 pupils each
- Thursday 14 October: the Middle School “I.C. Purificato” of Rome participated, with 1 class of 20 pupils.
Together with the teachers of the Institutes, the ISPRA researchers presented the students with an informal lesson on the biology of Posidonia oceanica, on the importance of the meadows on the marine-coastal ecosystems, accompanying the explanations with a new didactic video specially made for the event:

In addition, the new online didactic games, which are part of the SEPOSSO Didactic Kit, were presented to the students as a new proposal for distance learning activities. The games are designed to learn about Posidonia oceanica meadows while having fun.
