As part of the events planned for communicating and raising public awareness (Action D.1), on 4 and 5 December 2019 the Life SEPOSSO project was presented to the public at the Mattatoio di Testaccio (Rome) during the Sustainability Island exhibition.

The exhibition was developed over four days of informative talks, interactive laboratories, experiential activities aimed at students, companies and sector technicians to disseminate, educate and inform new generations about Sustainable Development.

In the second pavilion, dedicated to “Acting for an efficient use of resources and a low-carbon society” with talks and laboratories proposed by ISPRA with Life SEPOSSO projects and the participation of Life ASAP and Bargain projects During a series of talks dedicated to elementary, middle and high school students, ISPRA researchers carried out dissemination activities to around 200 students on the objectives of the Life SEPOSSO project and the measures to protect Posidonia oceanica seagrass.

For the little ones, the meeting ended with group games designed to learn to know and respect the wonders of the sea while having fun and distributing gadgets for children (Posi and Donia comics and information material). We  tried to convey information to the children and awareness that our individual actions are crucial for the conservation of the Posidonia oceanica seagrass, which constitutes a real collective wealth.
